- Both Orient Shipyard Co., Ltd. & Orient Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. cooperated together within the new shipbuilding industry.
- Gwangyang Yard started new shipbuilding & conversion services
- Built-up 82,000TLC (300M) floating dock
- Gwangyang Yard started ship repair & conversion services
- Achieved ISO 9001:2008
- Achieved ISO 14001:2004 /OHSAS 18001:2007
